Miss Ada Cooke, a decendant of Captain Cooke and her sister Miss Fanny opened the Gore in 1892, quickly establishing it as one of the most charming and high profile places to stay in London. Miss Ada’s room is antique-furnished, with huge bay windows overlooking Queensgate, complete with a four-poster bed canopied in crimson velvet.

Taking pride of place in the mahogany-panelled bathroom is a throne toilet and a deep set sunken bath, over shadowed by a monsoon shower.

A truly decadent room to escape on business, with a full working desk or to treat yourself and a loved one.

Elegant and comfortable, thats all I ask for my hotel in London and The Gore delivers everytime.Ms Eleanor Primpton.
