The Serpentine galleries:
A treasure of Kensington Gardens, the Serpentine features two exhibition spaces on either side of the lake: the Serpentine Gallery and the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, both designed by the legendary Zaha Hadid. Among London’s most popular art venues, the Serpentine Galleries are home to prestigious exhibitions, as well as talks and education projects dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Admission to these galleries is free.
What’s on at The Serpentine Gallery:
From 10 June to 9 October 2016, the Serpentine hosts its annual Serpentine Pavilion, the first and most ambitious architectural program of its kind in the world, exhibiting temporary structures by internationally acclaimed architects and designers. This year, the Serpentine Pavilion, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), will be joined by four 25sqm Summer Houses created by architects: Kunlé Adeyemi, Barkow Leibinger, Yona Friedman and Asif Khan.
